Meet sexy Medic Sam Brighton with Adaline Raine

Clicking this cover will whisk you away to amazon

Hiya Folks. You'll never guess who's coming to see me today. Yup, in case that gorgeous cover up there isn't all telling, I have Adaline Raine here with me today and she's going to share a bit from her newest release. The Medic Of Brighton Creek. Which by the way is eating up the charts on Amazon. Way to go Adaline.

Before we get to the snippet I though readers might like to know a little more about you. What made you decide you wanted to become an author?

Adaline—I'm not really sure. I've been writing stories since I was about eight years old. (laughs) I've wanted to be an author since as far back as I can remember.

Melody- I am so glad you've made it as an author Addy, It must have taken a lot of firm determination to get where you are today.
Let's talk about character names. Mikalya, your heroine is a rather unique name, how did you come up with it?

Adaline— It's silly, but I don't decide, they tell me. I have yet to pick one. It's like watching a movie.

Melody- A unique strategy as well. What is the best piece of advice anyone has ever given you concerning your writing career?

Adaline—Share. Seriously. I was always too afraid to share my stories with anyone and once I did the feedback was really supportive. Renee Rose encouraged me to submit my works and I did. I love writing and am constantly growing.

Speaking of sharing. Are you going to hog all of Addy's attention Melody? I want to ask her a question too, you know.

Oh alright, Yellow. What off the wall, totally unrelated to books question do you have for our guest?

You’re in a Baskin Robins with Melody. She orders a double scoop waffle cone of chocolate and peanut butter. On her way to the table, she drops her cone and throws a fit like a two year old, crying and stomping her feet, what do you do?
A.    Scurry away, pretending you don’t know her
B.    Offer to buy her another one and encourage her to go sit down
C.    Google the nearest insane asylum

Adaline— Probably B. I have that inner nurturing being even when it comes to people who aren't my children. I would probably threaten her with one of my alpha males if she continued her tantrum.

Melody- Ha ha! for once you asked a cute question, Yellow. And Addy, if your going to threaten me with one of you Alpha males, like say... Sam Brighton, I may just have to continue throwing a tantrum.☺
What is  your writing schedule like? How many hours a day do you spend typing away and what do you do when you get stuck or your flow just stops?

Adaline— I type on weekends and anytime my characters bother me which is sometimes in the middle of the day at my nine-to-five desk with a notebook and pen on my lunch hour. Sometimes when I'm really on my game I will type for about forty-five minutes in between getting the two children on the bus.

Melody- Spoken like a true author, sneaking in time to write whenever and wherever possible. What about after you've finished a book. Do you do anything special for yourself?

Adaline— Cry and try not to freak out. Oh. You said something special for myself? I thought you meant after I hit the submit button. Hm...no not really. This time my family went out to dinner so that was nice.

Melody- Crying and freaking out after hitting the submit button? You? No way. I kind of do the same thing, biting my nails down to bloody stumps wondering what the publisher is going to have to say and how many pages of edits I'll get back.
I'm excited to hear more about Sam and Mikalya. What tantalizing little snippet did you bring with you today, Addy.

Addy- Well first. The blurb.

Returning to her hometown for her best friend’s wedding, Mikayla Turner doesn’t expect to run into her teenage crush, handsome paramedic Sam Brighton, within a matter of moments. But after her car runs off the road in a snowstorm, she seeks help at the nearest house and is shocked when it is Sam who answers the door—still as sexy as she remembers him.

Sam patches her up and lets her stay at his home until the weather improves, but he makes it clear that there will be consequences should she choose to disobey him during her stay. Mikayla has grown up in the years she’s been away, but she still finds herself craving Sam’s dominance, and she is unable to resist putting his warning to the test. After Sam takes her in hand and bares her bottom for a sound spanking, Mikayla has never felt closer to him, and though it leaves her blushing, his thorough, intimate medical care makes her feel safer and more loved than she’s ever felt before.

When the local doctor takes some time off, Sam steps in to help out and he asks Mikayla to stay and serve as his receptionist. She agrees, but she can’t help worrying that Sam’s attraction to her is short-lived and that one day he will tire of her and push her away. Will self-doubt drive Mikayla to leave Sam and her hometown forever, or can she face her fears and learn to trust the man she loves?

Publisher’s Note: The Medic of Brighton Creek is an erotic romance novel that includes spankings, sexual scenes, medical play, anal play, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Melody-- Before we get to the tantalizing excerpt. I have to ask. How did you come up with such an awesome title?

Adaline— It was a suggestion from my publisher. He is amazing at coming up with titles. I usually pick something to call it when it is a work in progress and wanted to stay true to the location of this one.

Melody— What sets this book apart from others you’ve written?

Adaline—So, this one is my first contemporary and does not have any type of supernatural elements in it at all. It is sweet at its core though it has erotic elements.

Melody-- Mmmm, erotic elements... like say... punishments?

Adaline-- Oh you want a punishment excerpt? I have one of those☺ This one is just after Sam is getting closer to figuring out why Mikayla left home in the first place. She's all worked up and he has to enact a consequence for her outburst.

Mikayla let her hand fly across his face, but as she pulled back to catch her balance, he took it in his. “You don’t know why I left! How dare you make me feel guilty!”

“Sweetheart, if you feel guilty, that’s all on you.” Sam pulled her towards him as she yanked at her hands to break free, but he held tight. “If you ever raise that hand to my face again, it better be for a good reason—”

She reared back and spit, hissing like a hell cat. “Let go of me!” Mikayla bucked and twisted. “Right now!”

He released her hands and she fell backwards. “Put your hair in a ponytail.”

She looked at him like he had three heads, but she slipped the scrunchie off her wrist to comply, her brows scrunched up in concern.

Sam walked around behind her, leaned down, and tangled his fingers into her hair, flush against her scalp. She gasped as if realizing what he was about to do and slowly began to stand as he tugged her upwards. “Walk.”

He led her down the hall and into the bathroom, then turned the light on. Her face no longer held a spark of anger, and she appeared slightly nervous, her lower lip trembling as she stared wide-eyed into the mirror.
Sam took a soft blue-hued washcloth from the wall, then grabbed a snowflake shaped soap from the dish next to the sink, all while keeping his other hand firmly gripped in her hair. Mikayla’s eyes widened even more as he brought the decorative soap to her lips and said, “Open.”
She complied, but tears formed and trickled down her cheeks as she took in what he intended to do.

Melody-- Uh-oh! sounds like someone's getting her sassy mouth washed out with soap. Poor girl.
What's in the works for future books?

Adaline—I have a collaboration I'm working on, details to be coming in the next few months as well as some darker, spicier works. On top of those I have many characters waiting patiently in line for me to get their story and write it. It's going to be an exciting year!

Melody-- Oh that sounds yummy, I love dark and spicy. ~Grins~ Finish this sentence.
I will stop writing when....

Adaline—When I am cold and in the ground.

Melody- And thankfully, that will not be for a very long time ☺. Want to know more about Adaline Raine and her hot alpha males and sexy heroines? Visit these links.
